Cook Day Use Area

Percy Priest Lake

One of the areas along the shoreline of Percy Priest Lake is the Cook Day Use Area. Located near the historic home of President Andrew Jackson, the Hermitage, the park is conveniently located near historic sites and cultural activities.

Large groups may enjoy using the covered pavilions, which are capable of accommodating anywhere from 75 to 100 people. With numerous grass areas, there is plenty of room to run, play ball or just have fun. A large playground is also on site.

Admission to the park is $4 per vehicle. The park has numerous amenities. Guests can enjoy the accessible fishing area, go swimming, take a hike or picnic. For the convenience of boaters, there is a boat ramp available.

The park has accessible flush toilets, electric hookups and an entrance station. There is beach access, which provides safe lake swimming. There are interpretive trails for those who want to enjoy a hike or just enjoy nature.
