Percy Priest Lake

Smith Springs Recreation Area is located by Percy Priest Lake in the Middle Tennessee hills. Visitors can enjoy the lake, wooded area and grasslands. The recreation area has many amenities for visitors to enjoy.

Within the facility there is a covered pavilion that can accommodate about 50 people. It can be reserved for groups and family gatherings. The area also has a boat ramp so boaters can easily get their boat into and out of the lake. Parking spaces are available.

Within the area, guests can go boating or canoeing, fishing or enjoy nature with wildlife viewing opportunities. Flush toilets are available on the grounds. Electric hookups are also available at Smith Springs.

The recreation area does not permit off-road vehicles. With a long season, the park usually is open April 1 through September 30. The park closes nightly at 8.

Smith Springs is located near the Anderson Road Fitness Trail, which is a mile-long paved trail suitable for biking and hiking. Smith Springs is also located near Nashville, which offers many attractions, restaurants, shopping centers and entertainment venues.
